Sarah Sellers & Virgin Records

Since starting my blog last September I’ve been trying to think of different ways to incorporate not only my love of food, but of music as well. Music is a huge huge part of my life and I love sharing my experiences with people. MyTunes has been a really fun way to share what’s playing on my iPod, and to find out what other people are listening to. Between MyTunes and the food and music pairings I’ve been fortunate to grab the attention of a really great site!

A few months  back I was approached by Virgin Records to contribute to their community of “Top Music Bloggers”. Of course you can understand my extreme excitement and I immediately accepted. Virgin started the venture in December of 2009 and have asked some tremendous music bloggers to contribute to the site. I’ve had a great time exploring new music while really focusing my writing towards what I love more than anything…music.

I’ve contributed four articles so far and look forward to many more to come. So stop by Virgin Records and check out some of the really great pieces published so far. In the meantime let me know your thoughts. Do you have any new music you think I should review? What trends in music have grabbed your attention? Let me know, I’m always looking for new topics to explore and new artist to listen to!

Happy Reading! 🙂

Melody Gardot is a new (to me) artist that I was just recently introduced to (thanks Mom!!). Her jazz/blues infused vocals are so captivating. “Who Will Comfort” me is soulful and  jazzy with a very smooth and melodic melody. I can’t wait to dive in to her music even more! Check her out!
